Living in the amazing blessing of the Lord in the USA, it is easy to take for granted things we have and opportunities that abound.
After I traveled to The Democratic Republic of Congo, I was so surprised and even shaken over the lack of things and opportunities.....but still the people who are there are making things work with what they have or do not have.
As I visited many areas in Congo, I was forever awestruck over the lack of many things, such as steady electricity, garbage pick up, paved

streets, sinks, toilets, etc, etc.
I began to understand more of what Jesus said, when He spoke of caring for "the least of these".
I was determined to do whatever I could to help those who have not been given the basic foundation for success like we enjoy in the US. As we pray for change in these nations, we have a great chance to help change happen!
